About

A little bit about us…

We’re Chris and Kellie – a couple of homebodies with a passion for renovating, design and all things DIY. By day, Chris is an electrician and all-round handy guy, while Kellie (that’s me!) is a content marketer who loves to tell a good story. We’re also the doting parents of two cheeky pups, Albie and Barney.

Since buying our first home three years ago, we’ve thrown ourselves into renovating and have spent most of our spare time working away on the house. Along the way, we’ve also discovered an appreciation for clever design and a real love for creating beautiful spaces.

To us, our home is our sanctuary. A place where we can find a calm escape from the everyday and be our truest selves. While it may not be perfect, we’re all about embracing the journey. Like us, our home is ever-evolving – and we believe that every home has the potential to be beautiful.

January Revival is our passion project. A place to document our progress while sharing what has worked for us, what hasn’t, and what we wish we had known way back when. This blog is equal parts advice from our own learned experience, our goals and plans for the future, and love letters to the house that has already given us so many good memories.

We hope you’ll enjoy following along, and we hope it inspires and gives you the confidence to tackle your own renovation project and create a home you love. Thank you for being here!

Acknowledgement

Our home is built on Boon Wurrung land. We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and we pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging. We recognise that First Nations sovereignty was never ceded. This continent always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
