How to create a beautiful Easter tablescape

Easter is fast approaching – and whether you’re planning a festive breakfast or a long lunch with friends, a beautiful tablescape is a great way to help set the scene.

This year, I wanted to create a woodsy, natural table setting, and I love how each of these different elements have come together. Especially since it’s the first time styling this area since we updated our dining nook!

1. Select statement pieces

For a themed tablescape, it can be easy to go overboard – but a few statement pieces are all you need to ensure you nail the brief. Ultimately, less is more!

It was love at first sight when I spotted these French Garden Bunny Plates from Bed Bath N’ Table, and as soon as I brought them home I realised I needed the matching bowls too.

They’re such cute additions – and I’m sure they will be loved for many years to come.

2. Add contrasting textures

Mixing textures might just be my love language, and there is no better way to add warmth and depth to your styling.

For this tablescape, I wanted to pare the more traditional-look ceramic plates with a relaxed rattan placemat – and I these dinner plates make for the perfect mid-point.

The green gingham linen napkins bring in some extra detail and another touch colour, while the natural timber table and unglazed vase add further dimension.

3. Keep colours simple

Colour can be a great way to inject personality into your tablescape, but sticking to a simple palette can really make an impact.

Keeping with the earthy, Easter theme, I’ve featured mainly green, white and natural hues. Just enough colour to make it all pop!

4. Introduce fresh florals

When it comes to creating a beautiful easter tablescape, fresh florals are an easy and affordable way to elevate your styling.

For this look, I’ve chosen a simple combination of lisianthus and Easter daisies (which felt appropriate!) that I picked up from our local greengrocer.

Together, they make for a beautiful centrepiece and focal point that brings the tablescape together. Best of all, there are endless flower combinations and colour schemes to help bring the look together.
